Owen Ostermueller is an improvisational pianist based in Fort Collins. He grew up in Arkansas, and as a child learned piano from his dad, took lessons at his middle school, and played in a Methodist church. He studied French, political theory, and experimental music at DePaul University and the Paris Institute of Political Studies. While living in Chicago, Ostermueller played keyboard for indie pop band Co-Stanza. Later, while living in Paris, he was the resident pianist for a small art gallery and played in local bars. His unique and expressive style blends jazz, neo-soul, and modern classical influences. Ostermueller moved to Fort Collins in 2019, and is grateful for programs like Pianos About Town that support local arts. He loves getting dressed up every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night with the folks at Sunset Lounge, and he can’t wait to see you there.
