This unique program invites audiences into two stages of storytelling happening in the same room.

Two brothers confront reality at the intersection of addiction recovery and family drama in the wake of unspeakable tragedy and unimaginable loss.

Before the screening, actors will participate in a live table read of early script pages — offering a rare look at how the story evolved from its earliest stages to picture lock.

Five women strangers on a collision course charted by the meddling spirits of their ancestors wrestle with motherhood, purpose and identity. As their stories increasingly intertwine, they find strength in community and the shared power of women across generations.

Currently in production, Before Us will screen its trailer and selected clips highlighting the project’s progress. The creative team will share insight into the challenges, pivots and real-time decisions involved in bringing a film to life.

Unlike a traditional screening, this showcase centers the creators and the process itself. Audiences will experience both the polished final cut and the vulnerability of early drafts side by side — an uncommon opportunity to see how collaboration, risk and trust shape the final frame.

All participating women creators will be present for a live audience Q&A moderated by Maya Ortega.
