Edward Cohen
Edward Cohen is a singer-songwriter who performs original music in the style of folk, blues, and americana. After spending his twenties calling Portland, Oregon his home and zipping around the West Coast with various rock n roll bands, he recently came to rest in Colorado to slow things down and has been writing songs in a refined fingerpicked style, with a more open-eyed and humbled perspective. His songs conjure various emotions, juxtaposing darkness and light while addressing themes such as mental illness, addiction, heartbreak and loneliness. Influenced by the likes of Townes Van Zandt, Gram Parsons, Keith Richards, Leonard Cohen, and Johnny Thunders, Edward has been getting back to his roots again; writing songs that come from where it feels most natural.
